Biographie

La Dre Héloïse Cardinal a effectué sa formation prédoctorale à l’Université de Sherbrooke. Elle a complété sa formation en néphrologie à l’Université de Montréal et par la suite une maîtrise et un doctorat en épidémiologie et biostatistique à.l’Université McGill. Dre Cardinal s’intéresse aux biomarqueurs d’insulte vasculaire et à leur utilité clinique en néphrologie et en transplantation. Elle a participé activement à la caractérisation des anticorps anti-LG3 et à l’étude de leur rôle chez les patients greffés. Elle s’attarde maintenant à caractériser l’utilité clinique des anti-LG3 en post-greffe rénale et à mieux comprendre les facteurs permissifs de l’impact des anti-LG3 sur les vaisseaux sanguins. Outre la chaire, son programme de recherche est supporté par le Fonds de recherche du Québec – santé, la Fondation canadienne du rein et le Centre de recherche du CHUM.
